“I want to stop using Dacepton®”
The decision to stop using Dacepton® should be discussed with your Healthcare Professional. Your symptoms may return upon stopping treatment. If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your healthcare professional or your D-mine® Care nurse advisor.
What can I do to treat skin irritation?
Good hygiene and ensuring your hands and injection sites are kept clean when setting up the infusion will make sure you are less likely to contract any infections related to your treatment. Squeezing the puncture site after removal of the needle relaxes the tissue and can reduce the formation of nodules. Please consult your healthcare professional for more information.
Items you can purchase such as spikey balls, warm compresses or special cross tapes can also help stimulate blood flow in injection sites reducing any skin reactions.
You can massage with ointments or oils which reduce inflammation around the site and risk of haematoma.
Any adverse events should be reported to your healthcare professional. You can also report adverse events directly via the Yellow Card Scheme at yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk
Adverse events should also be reported to Medical Information on:
0800 254 0174 or drugsafety@everpharma.com
By reporting adverse events you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine. Very common side effects include hallucinations and injection site reactions. If you experience these side effects, please discuss them with your healthcare professional.
